Brother. And wife.

Complete.

Almost everyone know how close I am with my brother. I had spent most of my time growing up being with him, always being by his side and looking up to him in many ways. It is not that I am not close with my other siblings, but most of it was actually spent with him.

When I was a little girl, at around the age of 6 or 7, he was the one who taught me how to ride a two-wheeler, abandoning my third wheel. It was the best feeling ever, being able to achieve something for the first time. I remember running to the kitchen and told my mom about it, and went back outside to play with my brother. At that time, we usually go outside to play, me on the bicycle, my brother on his roller blade, and my sister... Well, she was still a baby at the time.

Then, at the age of 9, he brought me into the realms of online gaming. Ah. I remember our first online game, it was Dragon Raja Online. I, as per usual, played the priest while he played thief. And our outside days seem to disappear just like that. Haha. I guess we are geeky brother and sister. Then he introduced me into many other games, like Gates Of Heaven, Knights Online, and so on. We spent most of our time in DRO or in Ragnarok Online.

Sometimes he would just bully me in-game, and sometimes also he denies that I was his little sister while in-game, which is hilarious, to be honest, when I think back about it now. It was ridiculous how much time we spent just with games. He was also the one who introduced comedy, like Whose Line Is It Anyway?, The Big Bang Theory and so on. He introduced many things to me, like his love for music. I remember trying to learn how to play one of his songs on the piano (and I still fail up to this day) and from that moment onward, he would still play the piano, ask me to record for him sometimes, and sometimes just shares videos with me.

Many things I have shared with my one and only brother, and he is irreplaceable by so many means. I sound like an overly-attached little sister, because I am. I don't mean to sound so mushy-mush, but I am not ashamed nor embarrassed of the reality of this, and I could really tell this story any other day, but today is a special day, and I will tell you why.

24th of July 2015.
Today, my brother is successfully a married man. Married to a beautiful and marvelously awesome lady, and thank Allah for granting him the happiness to be married to the woman that he loves dearly. It is remarkably not weird if I didn't get emotional on this very day, because my brother is an awesome man. Despite everything, he is still standing and the same brother that I know and love.

Today my beloved brother will embark onto a new world filled with new responsibilities and today he is no longer a single man. He now has a wife that loves him dearly, and a new set of family. With his solemnization ended just now, he now is a husband, but forever he will be my brother. A brother that I look up to, a brother for me to love and care. And to top it off, this brother of mine introduced a new wonderful person into our lives, and now I am able to call her my beloved sister-in-law. A person who had successfully brought happiness and contentment into my brother's life. And with that said, praise to Allah for this moment. For all the moments.

Congratulations, abang! And welcome to the family, kak Sue!
We all love you both a lot, and your happiness means a lot to us. May Allah bless and shower your marriage with grace and love, and may your love of each other bounds together to go hand in hand towards Jannah. I love you both, and I really mean it.

Sincerely,
your overly-attached little sister.

The love of my life

It's 27 April, and it's my mom's birthday! Yay!

You know the best thing about my mom?
She's just filled with pure awesomeness. She is by far the strongest person I've ever seen, and whenever I'm with her, I feel the safest. Me and my mom wasn't that close when I was growing up, but now she's my best friend, my partner in crime, my cooking teacher and my everything.

Those are cliches, I know, but the truth will always be the same.
I know that things aren't that nice on our current road now, but she endured everything and still stay peaceful and calm. I envy that.

Ah, words aren't enough to describe my love for her, but still, today, happy birthday, mom! I love you forever!

Little sister

If people were to ask me who do I look up to, I would always say : My little sister.

It is weird that when others give out names of scholars, names of people who had achieved global success, names of their country's idols and so on, but I will always say that I look up to my little sister. I know it is supposed the other way around, but if I were to compare myself with her, she had achieved a higher level of satisfaction in life than I did when I was her age.

She's currently a 16 year old, and if you were to ask me, I would always say that I am proud of my little sister. I remember the times when I was 16. Unlike her, I saw no light in my life, but my little sister? Well, she found her passion, and showed great determination to achieve her goals. It is true that sometimes she's a pain in the back, but that's how little sisters are. They're a pain, but you still love them anyway.

My little sister is a popular girl, you know. Loved by many, and cared by many. Whenever she's not there, people would always ask of her. I am not jealous of this one bit, to be honest. In fact, I am glad of this, because through this way, she will never get lonely and always be acknowledged and needed by others. That's how I always imagined my little sister to live her life.

She's still young, I know, but I know and believe that she'll grow up to be far better than me. I always believed in that, but my sisterly ego always work to hide that from her knowing. You know what makes me look up to her? Her strength to keep moving, and her determination. I had always envied that about her. Despite the problems and obstacles she had faced in her life being separated from us, she had showed us a deep meaning of strength and determination. She had been the sun, the light that shined my life.

Little does she know, I had always cared for her from afar. My mind is always playing thoughts about whether she has eaten, drank, is she sick, how are her studies, and so on. Being far away from her had brought upon many anxieties, but my anxiousness always come to an ease whenever I think of her. Despite having these questions in mind, I know my answer would always bring tranquility to my heart. My little sister is a strong warrior. Able to take up any hit without falling. Who will always get back up and keep walking. And for every little reasons, bad or good, I will always love her.

Today is 12th March.
Right - Kecik, Left - Me
16 years ago on this date, a little girl was born. I remember those days before she was brought into this world. I was excited, because I had always wanted a little sister to play with. When my mom brought her into the world, I was the happiest person ever. I remember growing up with her. It is true, she annoyed and pissed me off many times, but all little sisters are like that. In fact, the more annoying and pestering she gets, the stronger my love for her. Whenever I feel like giving up, I will always remember my little sister and how she survived everything alone. That memory always gives me enough strength to keep moving too.

Happy 16th birthday to my little sister, Marlynni.
You're annoying, pestering, always pissing me off, and constantly making me want to strangle you, or kick you, or slap you, or punch you, or whatever, but without all those, my love and compassion towards you won't grow. My sisterly ego will never tell you this in person, but I will always love you, Kecik. (And yes, despite being taller than me, I will always call you Kecik. Get over it!) Smiles.

Four at last

I am finally in Kuching, and masyaAllah, it feels great! Why? Because after years of separation and after years living apart from one another, we are together again, at long last.

And I have only that to update. This moment will be cherished forever.

Marlynna, Mohd Marzwan, Mardyati, Marlynni - 4 Mars
